Infamous club frequented by celebrities and part owned by Johnny Depp. River Phoenix spent his final hours here before collapsing and dieing of a drug overdose on the pavement outside, as he left the Club, on Halloween night 1993 he was 23 years old. The payphone outside the Viper Room was used to call an ambulance. The Viper Room was used in the 40's by gangster Bugsy Seigel as an illicit gambling den, it was then called "The Melody Room".
