Back to:- Cemeteries of the Stars

Hollywood Forever is an old fashion cemetery containing many imposing
tall old headstones and towering monuments, including a few unusual shaped ones
such as obelisks and rocket ships. This cemetery is so picturesque with its lake
and tall palm trees, that it has been used as a background location for many
Hollywood movies including Hot Shots starring Charlie Sheen and L.A.Story
starring Steve Martin. The two mausoleums, containing many Hollywood film stars,
have beautiful interiors full of marble and coloured stain glass windows. As you
enter each mausoleum please note the names of the various hallways and corridors
are named on the tiled floor.
This is the oldest cemetery in Hollywood, established in 1899 and contains well
over 100 celebrities. A guide to all celebrities containing their grave location
and their claim to fame, can be purchased in the flower shop. This souvenir
guide also contains the full history of the Hollywood Forever cemetery and
a map of the grounds.
