Hillside Memorial Park This Jewish cemetery with rolling hills and
cypress trees is home to the most spectacular tomb of any Hollywood celebrity Al
Jolson. This towering white monument can be seen from the San Diego freeway and
consists of
a white stone canopy, supported by six white stone columns with a waterfall in
front cascading down the inside. Beneath the canopy is Al Jolson's Black marble
tomb and to the side is a bronze statue of Al Jolson on one knee, his famous
Mammy pose. Maps of the grounds are available from the front office and the
