Singer
Lead singer with Frankie Lymon & the Teenagers who as a child star from 1956
to 1957 had hits such as "Why
do Fools fall in Love" and "I'm Not a Juvenile Delinquent" which
have now become classics. Split from the Teenagers to go solo but never regained
his following as a solo artist. Made fleeting appearances over the years at a
comeback but all to no avail. After his time in the limelight Frankie could
never accept he was no longer a star. He finally died
in a New York ghetto, the Bowery, of drink and drugs in 1968 at the age of 25.
