Photos of Elvis' first house has it it today and how it was in the 50's. It was built in 1953 had 4 Bedrooms, 2.5 Bathrooms and Elvis was the second owner when he purchased it for $29,500 on 12th March 1956. He lived there for a year until fans made it an unofficial tourism attraction. Seeking more privacy Elvis purchased Graceland on 25th March 1957 for $102,500 from Mrs Ruth Moore who owned it. 1034 Audubon Drive was part of the sale, it was valued at $55,000 and Mrs Moore took title to Audubon Drive with the balance of the $102,500 paid by Elvis in cash. Elvis then lived at Graceland until his death in 1977. Graceland is now open to the public and is the most visited private house in the United States.
